Teenager Dies In Bolingbrook Crash: Will County Coroner
A 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead Monday morning after two-car crash on Boughton Road.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A teenager died Monday morning, March 9, after sustaining severe injuries in a two-car crash on Boughton Road. Colin Montrose was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck on Boughton east of Whitewater Drive; emergency responders transported him to Amita Bolingbrook Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:03 a.m., according to police and county officials.
The Will County Coroner's Office reported Monday afternoon that an external examination of Montrose's body has already been performed. The office said that the final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date pending police examination and medical record review.

The Bolingbrook Police Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. According to the police department's public information officer, Lieutenant Anthony Columbus, both drivers in the crash also sustained severe injuries, but Montrose was the only fatality.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help pay for the costs of Montrose's funeral arrangements. At the time of this article's update, about $4,600 of a goal of $6,000 had already been raised.
