Jan. 4
Criminal damage to vehicle, battery
Daniel Velez, 26, 190 Seabury Rd., was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with criminal damage to a vehicle and battery. Jaime Velez, 25, 190 Seabury Rd., was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after kicking the victim’s vehicle and breaking off a side mirror, police said.

Cell phone stolen from unlocked car
A cell phone as stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 600 block of Greystone Lane between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., police said. The loss was valued at $250.

Jan. 3
Failure to yield, leaving the scene of an accident
Hector Calixto-Nunez, 35, 128 S. Ashbury Rd., was arrested at 3:06 p.m. and charged with failure to yield, leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop on the 200 block of Ashbury Road, police said.
Theft from Speedway
Officers were called to Speedway, 352 S. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of a retail theft, police said. The suspect paid for gas with a counterfeit $20 bill and left the store at 9:49 p.m. A second suspect attempted to purchase a gift card with more counterfeit $20 bills but the transaction was denied.
Driving under the influence
Samantha Fultz, 21, 5378 Emerson Cir., was arrested at 2:17 a.m. and charged with DUI following a traffic stop on the 1200 block of W. Boughton Road, police said.
In-state warrants
Arthur Garcia Jr., 20, 200 Shady Ln, was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with two in-state warrants on the 300 block of N. Schmidt Road, police said.
