Traynere Charged With Computer Tampering, Accused Of Accessing Fellow Board Member's Email: Court Docs
The charges come weeks after a separate case, involving a child who was struck while riding a bike, was dropped against Traynere.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Will County Board Member Jacqueline Traynere is facing charges of three counts of computer tampering, according to documents filed in Will County Circuit court on Tuesday.
The charges against Traynere, who is a Democratic board member serving the Bolingbrook area, stem from an incident that happened in March 2024, according to court documents.
The documents state that Traynere "acted in excess of the authority granted to her in that she knowingly and without authorization" accessed Judy Ogalla's email without authorization from Ogalla. Ogalla is a Republican Will County Board Member serving the Monee area.

In 2024, Will County Board Member and Republican Steve Balich, who serves the Homer Glen area, called for Traynere to be held accountable for "illegally logging into Board Chair Judy Ogalla's email and forwarding an exchange between Ogalla and Balich to County Executive Jennier Bertino-Tarrant."
He said he had filed complaints with the police, and held a news conference in July 2024 to ask publicly why nothing had happened.
