Urgent Plea for Snow Angels in Bolingbrook

With a snow storm on the way, the local program cannot fulfill the demand at this time due to a low enrollment of snow hero volunteers.

Since 2022, the resident-run Bolingbrook Snow Angel Program has helped hundreds of local seniors and neighbors with disabilities who are unable to shovel the snow outside of their home due to physical and financial hardship. The program runs completely on volunteers, there is no staff and this program is not sponsored or organized by any private or public entity.

So far, for the 2025/26 Snow Season, the demand for help has outweighed the volunteer recruitment. On an average year, over 100 volunteers are needed to fulfil the requests for Bolingbrook -- this year enrollment is no where near hitting even half that.

The program is asking for help to spread the word. Share the information and build community awareness about the free initiative with local friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors. Share the information with nearby service organizations, clubs, non-profits, and faith circles.
