Valley View's Middle Schools Compete At IESA Track Championships
The district said it sent representatives from several of its schools to the championships, held May 19-20 in East Peoria.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Valley View School District has 12 student athletes competing in individual events at the IESA Class 4A track and field championships this weekend.
The district said it sent representatives from several of its schools to the championships, held May 19-20 in East Peoria.
Representing Jane Addams Middle School, David Croom III competed in the eighth grade boys long jump and 200-meter dash. Yorachukwu Ifeajekwu qualified in both the seventh grade boys 400-meter dash and 800-meter dash. Seventh grade students Edison Ah-Yo and Gabriel Jenkins competed in the boys high jump and 200-meter dash, respectively.

Jane Addams also sent teams to compete in the eighth grade boys 4x200 meter relay, and seventh grade boys 4x200 meter relay.
Brooks Middle School is represented by Ayden Fleming in the seventh grade boys shot put, and Edmond Ankomah and Denell Johnson, who will both compete in the eighth grade boys 200-meter dash. Brooks will also send a team to compete in the eighth grade boys 4x100-meter dash.

Humphrey Middle School seventh grade students Kayden Palmer and Donte Brooks will compete in the boys long jump and boys 110-meter high hurdles, respectively. Humphrey is also sending their seventh grade boys 4x100-meter relay team to the state meet.
Lukancic Middle School sent two student athletes to the state finals, eighth grader Milan Cadet is
entered in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash for eighth grade girls. Samuel Appiah-Dankwah will compete in the seventh grade boys high jump.
