Memorial Day Ceremony Moves Indoors Due To COVID-19 Restrictions
Only 30 seats will be available for the ceremony on a first-come-first-serve basis, while others can watch the live stream on social media.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — In a news release Friday, the Village of Bolingbrook announced that due to coronavirus-induced restriction, this year's Memorial Day service will be held in the village board room with a 30-resident limit in compliance with the social distancing guidelines.
At 11 a.m. Monday, May 25, seating for the ceremony will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis and available seats will be placed 6 feet apart. The Ceremony will be broadcast live on Comcast channel 6 and U-verse channel 99. It will also be available for viewing on the Village of Bolingbrook website and on the Village Facebook page.
The Village of Bolingbrook Town Center will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Business will resume 9 a.m. Tuesday.
