Wallets, Purses Stolen in Public: Bolingbrook Police Blotter

Dec. 26 

Wallet stolen from purse 

A wallet was stolen from a purse while with victim was having lunch at a business on the 1100 block of W. Boughton Road between 5:30 p.m. and 7:20 p.m., police said. 

Wallet stolen from unlocked car

A wallet was stolen for an unsecured vehicle parked on the 100 block of Barbers Corner between 6:25 a.m. and 6:33 a.m., police said. The loss was valued at $134.

Oxygen tanks stolen 

Officers responded to a business on the 800 block of Remington Blvd., for the report of a theft, police said. A lock was removed from a metal cage and two oxygen tanks were stolen between Dec. 22 and 26. The loss was valued at $800. 

Domestic battery, aggravated battery 

Wesley Baker, 30, 228 Karen Cir., was arrested at 6:07 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, domestic battery and aggravated battery after a call to the residence for a domestic disturbance, police said. 

Dec. 23 

Possession of marijuana

Darcell Nevil, 19, 4934 Montauk Dr., Plainfield, was charged with possession of cannabis and contributing to the criminal delinquency of a juvenile, police said. A 16-year-old was arrested at 3:43 a.m. and charged with illegal possession of alcohol on the 200 block of S. Schmidt Road. 

Two cars rummaged through 

Officers responded to the 500 block of Thomas Rd. for the report of two vehicles that were rummaged through and both stereo faceplates were taken between Dec. 22 and 23, police said. 

Purse stolen from shopping cart 

A purse was taken from a shopping cart with the victim was shopping at Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., between 7:30 p.m. and 7:57 p.m., police said. 

In-state warrant 

Jose Armendarez, 25, 256 Pueblo Dr., was arrested at 1:48 a.m. and charged with an in-state warrant at Boughton Road and Pinecrest Road, police said. 

Dec. 22 

Wallet stolen from purse 

A wallet was taken from a purse on the 600 block of E. Boughton Road at 5:35 p.m., police said. 

Deceptive practice 

Wendline Collins, 34, 261 Edgehill Dr., was arrested at 3:21 p.m. and charged with a deceptive practice at Edgehill Drive and Briarcliff Road, police said.
