Where To See Santa In Bolingbrook This Christmas Season

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Now that Thanksgiving is over, many families have turned thoughts to the Christmas season and annual traditions. Visits and pictures with Santa are a treasured memory for many Bolingbrook families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In Bolingbrook, families have several chances:

• Tree Lighting Ceremony, at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 behind Town Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Road. Visit with Santa, view the Winter Walk displays and watch the annual tree lighting.
• Santa send-off, Dec. 22 in Bolingbrook. Details to come; send Santa off to the North Pole for Christmas.
• Santa home visits, from Bolingbrook Park District. Arrange for Santa to make a visit to your home and hand out presents that you provide. Register with the park district.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged.

Santa will also be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando. In Chicago, Santa will be at the downtown Chicago Macy's, on the 5th floor at 111 N. State Street starting in November and continuing through the holidays. Reservations are required, and more details are available here.

JC Penney stores, including stores in Orland Park, Lombard, Mokena and Joliet are offering professional portraits with Santa through Dec. 18.
