Woman Found Fatally Shot In Car: Bolingbrook Police

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A woman was found fatally shot in a vehicle late Thursday near a Bolingbrook park, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a park in the 800 block of Poplar Lane just before 9:45 p.m., and found the vehicle about 100 feet off the road in a grassy area.

Police said a woman, later identified as 32-year-old Cristina Lahoz of Chicago, was found in the driver's seat with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers rendered aid to the woman, who was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No one is in custody in the shooting, police said.
