Beat the Mid-Week Blues With a Hand From the Lincoln Park Zoo
The Lincoln Park Zoo recently announced a new food and beer-filled event that's free to enter and open to the public every Wednesday in July and August.
There's a new way for locals to beat the mid-work week drag.
Get over the Wednesday "hump" with Lincoln Park Zoo’s new event, "Locally Sourced," a chance to experience local music, art, beer and food in the zoo's Patio at Café Brauer.
Every Wednesday in July and August, the venue will highlight a different artist, band, and farmer from the area. Lagunitas bottles and drafts will be on special during the events.

“This is a neighborhood party that celebrates all things homegrown, so it is fitting that it be held in a local treasure like Lincoln Park Zoo,” said director of corporate alliances, Bryan Anderson, in a news release. “What could be more Chicago than food, drinks, and fun in front of one of the city’s best skyline views?”
Stick around for a signature Patio Burger or choose from other items on the Patio’s menu including zesty flatbreads and cool guacamole.
The eatery also boasts specialty cocktails, craft beer and "an exciting wine list."
