Boy, 16, Found Dead In Apartment After Arguing With Mother: SWAT

Police said they responded to report of a domestic disturbance and found the teenager dead in a room Wednesday night.

CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was found dead in an apartment on the city's West Side Wednesday night by SWAT officers, police said.

Authorities said the boy was arguing with his mother in an apartment on the 1700 block of West Augusta Boulevard at around 8:50 p.m. when he smashed a window, causing neighbors to call in reports of a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they entered the home and found three occupants unharmed but did not immediately see the teenager.

A SWAT team clearing the home eventually found the boy dead in a room in the back of the apartment.

Police did not immediately know the cause of death.
