Gas Station to Get $80K Makeover, Adding Fast Food
The local BP was approved for a big business permit to completely renovate the space and get rid of the auto body shop.
One Bucktown gas station will soon start a structural overhaul to expand its market selections, get rid of its auto-body shop and add a Subway restaurant, its owner confirmed.
Located at 2357 W. Fullerton Ave. at the intersection with Western Avenue, the Fullwest BP gas station is slated for a complete makeover estimated to cost roughly $80,000, according to the Chicago business permit approved Friday.
Construction crews were already at the business Tuesday, taking measurements behind the main cashier’s counter.

BP’s owner said he doesn’t plan to increase the footprint of the building, but remove the auto-body shop on the east side of the business completely. Crews will then have room to make the food market larger and add the Subway restaurant.
Construction is estimated to take about two months to complete.
