HT GBK: Lady Tigers take 3rd place in Chicago Prep tourney play.

HT (5-4 overall and 5-3 in the Chicago Prep) captured 3rd place in the CPC tourney Wednesday night at home with a thrilling 56-51 victory over Christ the King.
The Lady Tigers moved out to an 18 to 11 first quarter lead, then withstood a second quarter charge by the Gladiators , who closed to one point by halftime at 24-23 in favor of HT.
Then in the second half, HT re-established their lead, outscoring Christ the King 32-27 in the final 16 minutes of play to win by the final five-point margin.
Leading the way for the Lady Tigers, in balanced scoring were Jalyssa Diaz who had 31 points on the evening, while Anaya Davison added 10 points and Kamila Solis and Kyra Hayes added 8 and seven points respectively.
For Christ the King, #4 led all scorers with 38 points on the night.

NOTES: The Tigers have one more contest on tap, a home date versus Lake View this Friday (03.12) in a 5:30 p.m. start time.

The boys varsity fell to Christ the King in a tough loss in the CPC playoffs and will close out their 2021 campaign hosting Walther Christian Thursday, March 11th in a 6 p. m. contest.
