HT GVB captures an important CPC conference win at home.
HT GVB defeats visiting Rochelle-Zell at both levels; A focused win for both the Jv + Varsity
VARSITY -- Focused for the WIN!!
Playing their strongest match of this young season, HT defeated visiting Rochelle-Zell by final scores of 25-16, 25-19 Thursday night. This in front of a vocal and supportive home crowd.
HT improved to 3-1 overall and moved to 2-0 in Chicago Prep conference play.
Featured tonight for HT were Hanna Barnes (five kills, two blocks and six service points with five aces); Madison Richter (four kills; Zari Young (six service points); Sophia Serrano (12 set assists and two digs); and Daneli Tabarez (eight service points).
"The best match of the season to date, commented Tiger head coach Marce Tokarczyk. "We were focused, for sure!"
HT serving: 50 atts with 39 made for a 78% average and 10 aces.

The HT Jv def. Rochelle-Zell by scores of 16-25, 25-12 25-9
In the 1st contest of the night, the HT Jv fell in game one to the visitors by a 25-16 count, before displaying some of their own serving prowess to win going away.
The serving display mentioned above featured Viviana Macial who totaled 20 straight serves made in game 2 and 3 which solidified this win.
Also featured were Alyssa Aspara (9 service points, five aces); Jniyah Turner (3 kills); Lysette Flores (3 kills) and Angelica Cave (4 set assists and six service points).
HT Jv serving: 66 atts. 55 made for an 83% average.
