Stop ID Theft: Bucktown, Wicker Park Plan Shredding Event
Mark your calendars for the Bucktown and Wicker Park paper shredding and electronics recycling event on Nov. 10.

Is your filing cabinet packed to the gills with old, useless documents? Get rid of them safely while keeping your identity protected at Wicker Park and Bucktown's document and paper shredding event.
On Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce will host a shredding day in the parking lot of Jewel Osco and Kmart on Ashland Avenue, just north of Division. There’s no limit to how much residents can bring, and the drop-off process takes less than a minute.
"Gather your old financial records, cancelled checks, credit card statements, love letters from your ex and watch them get destroyed in a matter of minutes, right before your very eyes," writes the chamber.

While paper shredding is sponsored by Secure EcoShred, residents will also have an opportunity to dispose of their electronics in an eco-friendly way. PC Rebuilders & Recyclers will be there to take any old electronics, wipe away any personal information and refurbish them. Anything that can't be reused will be recycled.
PCRR will accept: Computers, laptops, monitors, printers, computer cables, mice, keyboards, fax machines, TVs, VCRs, DVD and MP3 players, video game consoles, cell phones and video equipment.
