The Sweet Return of the Live Stan’s Donut Run 5K and Kids Dash
The 5th annual, in-person event will take place Saturday, August 14, 2021 on Chicago's beautiful lakefront at Montrose Harbor.
July 20, 2021 (ASE) Chicago, IL. – The sweet return of the Stan’s Donut Run 5K and Kids Dash - now in its 5th year – is once again in-person and coming to Chicago’s lakefront Saturday, August 14! “Donut’ forget to register for this family-friendly event - sponsored by iconic Stan’s Donuts and produced by Chicagoland-based, Adrenaline Special Events (ASE). This event is limited to 3,000 people, so register now to save your spot! For those who would prefer not to participate in person, or who would like different options to get in on the fun, a virtual 5K/Kids Dash is available, in addition to a 10K, and half or full marathon.
The charity beneficiary is the Greater Chicago Food Depository, an organization that partners with 700 agencies throughout Cook County to distribute food and assistance to area food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.
“It’s been a sweet partnership between Stan’s Donuts and Adrenaline Special Events; we’re thrilled to be in our fifth year as a live event, now with safety precautions in place to ensure the comfort of all participants,” said ASE Founder Aaron Del Mar. "Individuals of all athletic abilities are welcome to participate - even adults with children in strollers.”

Registration for in-person and virtual participants includes a tank top for women-but supplies are limited, so get them before they’re gone! Other swag includes a unisex, dri-fit event shirt, a golden, donut-shaped finisher’s medal with a spinner, and a race bib. Day of the event packet pick up is available for in person participants, who can take a break and enjoy a donut (or two, or three) at stations along the 5K course. Additional Stan’s Donut gift certificates will be provided for those participating in the virtual events.
