Green Music Fest: Parking Restrictions, Band Lineup
An eco-friendly music festival is hitting Wicker Park this weekend. Here's everything you need to know about the soiree including gate donations, a full musical lineup and places you won't be able to park.

A family-friendly festival featuring two stages of music, several retailers and an eco-friendly vendor village is making its way to Wicker Park this weekend.
Green Music fest will be held along Damen Avenue, adjacent to Wicker Park, from noon to 10 p.m. both Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23. The lineup includes Into It. Over It., Everest, Manchester Orchestra and popular Talking Heads cover band, This Must be The Band.
Attendees will have the option of giving a $5 suggested donation at the gate and the live music stages will be located on either end of the festival site on Damen Avenue.

"We encourage businesses located within and near the festival site to take advantage of the thousands of consumers drawn to the area for Green Music Fest," says a post from the event's planning committee. "We also ask for the patience and understanding of the urban area residents whom may be inconvenienced by the festival and street closures."

Those street closures will be in effect between 1 a.m. Saturday, June 22, until 5 a.m. on Monday, June 24. Vehicles will be towed if they are parked during those times in the following areas—on Damen Avenue from North Avenue to Schiller; on Wicker Park Avenue between Damen and Honore and on Pierce Avenue from Damen to the alley just west of Damen.
On Sunday, the farmers market will prohibit parking in the 1400 block of Wicker Park Avenue's south side. Residents and businesses are also being asked to not park on Le Moyne Street from Damen to the alley just west of Damen.
Local food and drinks will be available on the festival grounds and family-friendly activities will be scattered about. Festival money goes to the Wicker Park Parents Association and North Avenue Nursery, coordinators have said.
