Buffalo Grove Police Urge Caution Following Ruse Burglary
Police are asking residents to be aware and help spread the word about ruse burglaries.

Buffalo Grove police are again warning residents to take precautions to avoid becoming victims of ruse burglaries after a resident’s home was burglarized this week.
According to police, a Hispanic man wearing a landscaper’s uniform arrived at a home on the 1300 block of Radcliffe at 4 p.m. July 9. The man told the resident his name was Joe and that he was building a fence at a neighbor’s home and needed to check the backyard. The resident later realized that while they were in the backyard, other offenders entered the home and stole items, police said.
The Buffalo Grove Police Department is asking that residents help spread the word about these kinds of scams.
