Man Charged With Kidnapping, Sexual Assault In Christmas Eve Incident: Palatine PD
The 28-year-old is accused of at least five felonies stemming from the incident Wednesday, according to police.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine man is being charged with five felonies stemming from a domestic-related incident on Christmas Eve. Jarvin I. Mendez Quintanilla, 28, of the 1800 block of Green Lane is accused of felony kidnapping, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, and aggravated domestic battery.
Quintanilla appeared in court Friday for a detention hearing and was ordered to remain in custody until his next court appearance on Jan. 22, 2026. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved the charges.
Police responded to the area on Wednesday for a report of a domestic-related incident involving a 26-year-old woman. As a result of the subsequent investigation, Quintanilla was taken into custody.
