Buffalo Grove Students Named National Merit Scholars

Three students were given the honor, the Daily Herald reports.

 

Three Buffalo Grove students have been given the Merit Scholar designation by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, the Daily Herald reports.  

  • Saieesh A. Rao, Buffalo Grove resident, Illinois Math and Science Academy. Probable career field: Biochemistry
  • Aaron D. Zalewski, Buffalo Grove resident, Stevenson High School. Probable career field: Science/Research
  • Mark G. Zhang, Buffalo Grove resident, Stevenson High School. Probable career field: Medicine

The students are three of 2,500 scholars nationwide. They were judged based upon “their abilities, skills, and accomplishments–without regard to gender, race, ethnic origin, or religious preference,” according to the National Merit website.
