Daniel Wright 7th Grader Named National Geographic Bee Finalist
Conrad Oberhaus will compete against nine other students on Wednesday for a chance to win $25,000.

A District 103 student is in the final round of the National Geographic Bee.
Daniel Wright Junior High School 7th grader Conrad Oberhaus was named the Illinois bee champion, according to the National Geographic Bee website. On Monday, he became one of 10 finalists in the nation and will compete Wednesday for the national title, the Daily Herald reports.

This is the second year that the 13-year-old has competed at the national bee. The winner of Wednesday’s competition will take home $25,000. It will be broadcast on television Thursday on the National Geographic Channel, the newspaper reports.
