The Buffalo Grove Fire Department recently placed a new ambulance into service. The new vehicle, a 2012 Ford F450, replaces an ambulance that had nearly nine years of service and had almost 100,000 miles logged.
The new ambulance's four-wheel drive capability will better enable the department to respond to calls during inclement weather such as snow storms or high water. The new ambulance is currently operating out of Station 26 at 109 E. Deerfield Parkway.
