Kildeer Countryside School District 96's Parent to Parent Network Program hosts a March 2 parent workshop titled "Raising Kids Who Thrive: Responsibilities, Healthy Habits and Emotional Well-Being."  The virtual presentation begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Join journalist and parent educator Katherine Reynolds Lewis for an interactive talk about how parents can raise children to thrive, build responsible behavior, instill habits for mental and physical health, and teach children how to manage anxiety and stress. The author of "The Good News About Bad Behavior: Why Kids Are Less Disciplined Than Ever — And What to Do About It," Lewis will share problem-solving strategies for kids’ difficult behavior or disengagement.

This talk covers tuning in to children's emotions; implementing helpful family routines; finding language for tough conversations; and dealing with your own stress and feelings of being overwhelmed.
