New Grading System Introduced in Stevenson Dance Classes
Students no longer receive percentage grades in the classes, and instead earn a grade of 1-4, the Buffalo Grove Countryside reports.

Stevenson High School has introduced a new grading system for its dance classes, the Buffalo Grove Countryside reports.
The new system is dubbed the intent of standards. Tests and quizzes are out, and grades are given based on how well the students can use information learned in real life. Students now receive a grade of 1-4 instead of a percentage as a grade. A 4 is given if a student exceeds the teacher’s expectations, and a 1 is given if the student didn’t understand the curriculum, the newspaper reports.
