Parking Lot Replacement At Willow Stream Park Begins In September
Crews will be working to replace lot at the south end of the park and visitors will need to find alternate parking for the rest of the year.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Work will soon begin to replace the parking lot on the south end of Willow Stream Park, which will be completely removed and replaced this fall, officials announced on Thursday.
Work at the park, which is located at 651 Old Checker Rd. in Buffalo Grove, will begin on Sept. 11. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. The project also includes reconfiguring the handicapped parking stalls, removal and replacement of damaged concrete curb, stormwater drainage improvements, relocating the dumpster enclosure to the southeast corner of the lot, reconfiguring the drive entrance, and path work near the entrance to make it more accessible for people with disabilities, park district officials said.
The parking lot at the south end of the park will be closed during this time and alternative parking is available on the north end of the park near the pool, which is located at 600 Farrington Drive in Buffalo Grove.
