Police Blotter: Caller Tells Resident to Pay Up or Get Deported

ANIMALS
A complainant reported that their dog received a bite from another dog at 11:30 a.m. July 28 at the Happy Tails Dog Park. Police reviewed dog-bite procedures with the complainant.

A resident reported receiving a phone call from a man who claimed to be a representative from the Federal Crime Division. The resident was told to purchase two $1,000 Money Pak cards and provide the numbers to the caller or risk deportation. The resident recognized this was a scam.
PHONE HARASSMENT
A resident reported receiving several phone calls and text messages from an ex-boyfriend on July 29. Officers contacted the ex-boyfriend and advised him the communication needed to stop.

PROPERTY DAMAGE
Someone broke a driver’s side window with anunknown object between 8:30 a.m. and 7:55 p.m. July 29 on the 100 block of Dundee Road.
THEFT
Someone stole two microphones at 11 a.m. July 29 from a store on the 1300 block of Dundee Road.
VANDALISM
A complainant reported several white paint spots were left on playground equipment on the 1000 block of Green Knolls Drive between July 26-29. Officers determined the spots were made by paint balls.
