The killings took place five months after Andrei and Vera Kisliak has filed for divorce, police said. An autopsy revealed that all five people died due to sharp force injuries.
Police responded to the family's home at 11:12 a.m. Nov. 30, following a call requesting a well-being check on a woman. Upon arrival, police were unable to make contact with anyone inside the home. Officers forced entry, and discovered the bodies of the five family members and the pet. Since the beginning of the investigation, police have called the crime a "domestic-related incident" and maintained there was never any threat to the public.
