Sussman Not Censured By Buffalo Grove Board After Apology
According to a report, Sussman made a statement at Monday night's village board meeting, including an apology for election night comments.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Buffalo Grove Village Board withdrew a censure resolution against President Beverly Sussman during Monday's village board meeting, after she apologized for election night comments she made to the press, according to The Daily Herald. The news report said several residents came to the meeting to support Sussman, and applauded after Trustee Lester Ottenheimer III made the motion to withdraw the resolution. The motion was seconded, the news report said, and the board voted in favor of withdrawing the censure resolution.
According to The Daily Herald, Sussman's controversial election night comments included harsh criticism of the campaign of her opponent, former village Trustee Michael Terson, in addition to calling out former Village President Jeffrey Braiman, who publicly endorsed Terson.

After the meeting began, Sussman made her statement, including an apology to both Terson and Braiman, who were there for pre-meeting ceremonies honoring retiring board Trustee Jeffrey Berman. The Daily Herald said Sussman also apologized to residents, the village board and staff members.
