Wanted: Award Nominees in District 96

The School District 96 Foundation is accepting nominations for two awards, one awarding a distinguished graduate and the other a person who helps children succeed.

The Distinguished Alumni Award will "honor those alumni who have distinguished themselves beyond their elementary school years through their significant accomplishments in his or her field of endeavor and/or contributions to the community," according to an event posted on Patch.

Meanwhile, the Crystal Apple award recognizes "people or groups who stand out for their effort, attitude and passion for helping our kids succeed," according to another post on Patch.
