Boy, Girl Basketball Players Invited to Special Clinic
Former all-American basketball player will teach youngsters the basics of the game. Coaches will get tips, too.

Boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14 who want to get better playing basketball and their coaches are invited to the Pleasant Dale Park District Skills Clinic that will be held Tuesday, March 8 at the Walker Recreation Center, 7425 S. Wolf Rd., Burr Ridge.
The clinic was designed by former McDonald's High School All-American, 1990 Final Four All-Tournament team member and Duke standout Phil Henderson. He will work with players and coaches with drills and games to improve overall basketball skills and knowledge.
Coaches will learn to get the most out of their team, develop a system that works, become a better teacher, and prepare their players for championship basketball 6-7 p.m. at the rec center. Instruction to coaches is free.

A clinic for players to increase their basketball IQ, become more skilled in dribbling, passing, shooting and defending, and improve their overall speed, power, agility and reaction time will be held at the rec center 7-9 p.m. Fee is $20.
