This Burr Ridge District Has Lowest Class Sizes
Smaller class sizes can lead to higher achievement, the state says.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge School District 180 has the smallest class sizes of the village's three school systems, according to state statistics.
Last school year, District 180's average size was 17, lower than the state's average of 21, according to the Illinois Report Card website. Gower District 62 and Pleasantdale District 107 were 21 and 22, respectively.
Over the last dozen years, District 180 has typically beaten the state average. Its rate of students coming from low-income families is nearly 70 percent, while Gower and Pleasantdale are both less than 20 percent.

According to the Illinois Report Card, research shows that students in lower grades demonstrate the potential for higher achievement scores when they are enrolled in smaller classes.
