Burr Ridge May Stiffen Landscaping Rules, Hike Fines
Proposed regulations come at the request of the mayor and a trustee.
BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge is looking to stiffen its landscaping rules as part of its nuisance ordinance.
Under proposed rules, landscaping companies would be barred from working in Burr Ridge on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This would be a change from the current rules, allowing such businesses to work from noon to 4 p.m. on those holidays. The village would continue letting such companies operate from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Snow-clearing activities are exempted.
Under the changes, a violation would draw a $750 fine, up from $50.

The amendments are at the request of Mayor Gary Grasso and Trustee Guy Franzese.
The Village Board will consider the proposed rules at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Village Hall.
