UPDATED: Burr Ridge Middle School Student to Appear on WGN Friday
The sixth grader will be Friday's 'forecaster for a day.'
A sixth grade student at will get her taste of the limelight tomorrow morning. Agne Nakvosaite will be introduced to viewers by weatherman Paul Konrad at about 6:30 a.m. Friday.
Nakvosaite was one of the students in Tracy Ritchie's sixth grade class that helped with a WGN project, who entered their name to audition in front of their classmates.
"Agne will be a great representative for Burr Ridge Middle School. She will be a delight to watch. She's got great energy and is very well spoken—all qualities you would need as a great weatherman," said Julie Bartell, principal of Burr Ridge Middle School.

All the kids' in Tracy Ritchey's sixth grade class placed their names into a hat, and hers was picked. Last week, the school received the following email from the WGN's Mike Janssen.
"Agne Nakvosaite (6th grader) will be WGN's Friday Forecaster on May 11th. She’ll impress the folks at WGN and will be a great representative of Burr Ridge Middle School. Agne and her family will arrive at the WGN studios between 5:50 & 6:00 Friday morning. Agne will have about a half hour to get familiar with the weather forecast and practice presenting the forecast in front of the green weather wall. Around 6:30 she’ll take part in a segment in our newscast when weatherman Paul Konrad will introduce her to the viewers. About 10 minutes later she and Paul will be in the news studio where Agne will present the forecast live on TV."
