Burr Ridge Police Month-Long Burglary Investigation Yields Arrest of Park Forest Man

A Park Forest man has been arrested in connection with a burglary to a home under construction on County Line Road.

Burr Ridge Chief of Police John W. Madden announced today the arrest of a Park Forest man in connection with a burglary to a home under construction.

Victor A. Wright, 47, whose last known address was 43 Ash Street in Park Forest, was taken into custody by the Chicago Police Department on July 21, as a result of a warrant secured by the .

Wright is alleged to have entered a home under construction in the 6600 Block of County Line Road on June 17 at approximately 1 p.m. with the intent to steal building materials.

The arrest of Wright is the result of a month long investigation where Burr Ridge detectives worked closely with outside agencies, including the West Memphis, Arkansas Police Department, to identify Wright.

After identifying Wright, detectives obtained a $75,000 warrant for his arrest.

Wright is currently being held by the Chicago Police Department on local charges. After clearing the Chicago Police Department’s charges, Wright will be processed at the Burr Ridge Police Department and given a court date at the Cook County Court House, Bridgeview.

Burglary is a Class 2 felony, punishable by a sentence between three to seven years in prison.
