Burr Ridge Police on the Lookout for 'Suspicious Person'
Police are looking for an 'older' man driving a white van with a ladder on top.

At about 2:40 p.m. on Friday, a resident reported that her two children ages 7 and 10 were walking home after being dropped off by the school bus at 79th Street and Drew Avenue.
As the kids walked past what was described as a white “work truck” with a ladder on top, an “older” male white driver asked the two children, “Do you guy’s need a ride?” The children said no and continued to walk home. The truck left in an unknown direction without incident. When they got home, the kids told their parents what had happened.
The driver of the truck was further described as having a full white beard and smoking a cigarette. The is investigating this incident and has increased patrols in the area.

Police are urging all parents to review safety practices with their children and to call 911 immediately with information of any suspicious persons or activity that they or their children observe.
