BURR RIDGE, IL – Patti's Sunrise Café is still seeking the village's approval for outdoor dining.

In early April, the Village Board delayed a vote on an ordinance to allow such dining at the restaurant, which is at County Line Square. It did so after Mayor Gary Grasso said the shopping center had roof leaks, among other problems.

Grasso wanted the village's staff to ask whether the restaurant's owner, Michael Garber, had an ownership interest in the center, which is owned by other Garber family members.

According to a village memo, Michael Garber's attorney said his client did not have an ownership interest in the larger County Line Square property.

In late March, the Village Board gave initial approval for Patti's Sunrise Café's request. On Monday, the board is set to vote on an ordinance to make the change a reality.
