District 86 Starts School Year on a Friday: Are We OK With This?

We asked Facebook fans of Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills Patch, Burr Ridge Patch and Darien Patch what they thought of Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South holding the first day of school on a Friday this year. 

Here are some of the responses so far: 

• Beth Pellant Lopez It's better than the 1/2 day that requires parents to take a whole day off of work if you ask me.
• Laurie Berg Sent 3 of my 4 boys there this morning! Peace and quiet....ahhhh. Feels great!
• Patricia Vasicek wow, I went to my freshman year at Central, and was a member of the FIRST GRADUATING CLASS OF HINSDALE SOUTH!! It has been a long time. . .since I have seen the front doors of Central! wow! thanks for the memory! Living in northcentral WI for 40 years now. 
• Summer Stevens Heil As the mom of a freshman, I like the Friday "warmup." Plus, I need the three days to strategize a better way to navigate drop-off!

• @CjNikoBran3h: Hinsdale South too, its a little weird but I think it's good because teens stay up later than they should, ease them back :)
