'Educational Period' For Burr Ridge Drivers
New traffic rules are now in place on a village street. No citations will be issued in the first month, the village said.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Answering neighbors' concerns, Burr Ridge's new restrictions on Chasemoor Drive have taken effect.
No northbound traffic is allowed from 79th Street between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and no southbound traffic is permitted from Lincolnshire Drive from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Drivers are advised to use 79th Street, County Line Road and Burr Ridge Parkway as alternative routes.

The rules apply to everyone except emergency vehicles and Chasemoor residents leaving their homes.
The first month is being described as an "educational period," with no plans to issue citations.

Citations will start after Nov. 18, the village said.
Chasemoor residents have complained about the volume of traffic on their street. The road is a link that many drivers use from Village Center, County Line Square and other commercial developments.
Burr Ridge trustees voted for the changes on Chasemoor in August.
