Egg Harbor Wins Readers' Choice Award for Favorite Area Breakfast Spot

Passionate breakfast fans came out in droves to weigh in on . When the polls closed on Friday, in Burr Ridge and in Hinsdale tied for the vote.

In a tiebreaker that was held over the weekend, readers only had until 5 p.m. on Sunday to break the stalemat, and they rose to the challenge.

The contest was at times nail-bitingly close, with each restaurant capturing 50 percent of the vote right up until the last few hours. That's when Egg Harbor surged ahead for the win, nabbing 68 percent of the vote.

We want to congratulate both restaurants, however, for having so many fans in the area. In such a close race, everyone's a winner. We also want to thank our readers, as always, for allowing us to give our area's favorite places a well-deserved pat on the back.
