Eyes of the Law: Experience a 'Day in the Life' of a Burr Ridge Police Officer

Another nine-week Citizens Police Academy kicks off Wednesday and officers say there's still time to sign up.

Residents wondering what it's like to be a police officer in Burr Ridge are in luck this week when another Citizens Police Academy kicks off for a months-long session.

The Burr Ridge Police Department starts its next nine-week course on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and although it's right around the corner, local officials say there's still time join.

The workshop walks participants through the daily decisions an officer faces; as well as routine protocols for traffic stops, building searches, Tasers, investigation methods, collaborative law enforcement groups, tracking criminals, and more.
