The menu items for the Burr Ridge store and the one in Schaumburg, also serving beer and wine, were created specifically to appeal to the tastes of those in the area and include items that are not offered in the Pacific Northwest. Starbucks representatives say this menu also will be used in Atlanta and Southern California, as stores there test this new concept.

The grand opening celebration will begin at 5 p.m. tonight and will last until 8 p.m.
