Sentencing Postponed For Burr Ridge Murder
The attorney for John Gilbert said sentencing for his client has been postponed pending the return of medical test results.

The sentencing for John Gilbert, who in October, pleaded guilty to the at in Burr Ridge has been postponed.
According to court documents, Gilbert may need treatment for what may be a bladder tumor, based on a doctor's evaluation in recent months. The documents say there are suspicions of malignancy.
"My client has been experiencing pain since last spring and has been seen both by the jail physician, urologist and urologist at [an] Illinois Urological Center," said Jed Stone, Gilbert's attorney.

Stone said Gilbert has been referred for additional testing at the Loyola University Medical Center, and sentencing has been postponed until results are returned.
Judge Bakalis has signed an order allowing Gilbert to receive any medications he needs while continuing to be held in DuPage County Jail.
