Hearing Delayed For Burr Ridge Commercial Development
The village explained why the date was pushed back. The only hearing was on the date of the presidential swearing-in.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge is again delaying the next public hearing for a major commercial development.
The Plan Commission's hearing had been set for June 16, but the village revealed this week it has been pushed back to July 21.
The change is the result of newspaper deadlines for legal advertisements and the state's 15-day notice requirement.

In April, the village said developer Bridge Industrial did not want to set a date at that point for a hearing. But Village Administrator Evan Walter said the commission set a hearing so that residents could rely on a specific date for participation rather than an "unknown" one.
A couple of weeks ago, Bridge Industrial turned in various expert reports on the project. Those documents were posted on the village's website.

The development is planned for the old CNH Industrial site at 6900 Veterans Boulevard.
So far, the only public hearing was Jan. 20, the date of the presidential inauguration.
Bridge has said its proposed seven commercial buildings would not be a trucking hub or a big box store. The project, the company said, would make investments to improve traffic flow, strengthen infrastructure, create new public spaces, improve flood control, reduce noise pollution and bring millions in taxpayer savings.
Neighbors have expressed concern about the impact of trucks on the site.
After the Jan. 20 meeting, the Plan Commission said it wanted to find out more about the effects of the development on air quality, crime, property values, local infrastructure and traffic.
