Hinsdale Police Reports: Theft, Car Burglary, DUI, Property Damage
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through May 24.

Someone was seen on surveillance video attempting to enter a car May 19 while it was parked in a driveway in the 200 block of Justina Street, but the car was locked.
A pack of cigarettes was reported stolen from a car between May 18 and 19 while it was parked in the 200 block of N Grant Street. There were no signs of forced entry, and the car's owner believes the car was unlocked.

About $2 in loose change was reported stolen from an unlocked car between May 18 and 19 while it was parked in a driveway in the 100 block of N Bruner Street.
Blake Kamaj Blackwell Bryson, 30 of the 5000 block of S Ellis Avenue in Chicago, was stopped May 16 for disobeying a traffic control device at Ayres Avenue and Washington Street. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured car, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to secure a child under 8 and disobeying a traffic control device. He was released to appear in court.

A patient at Manor Care reports bifocals, six gold rings and seven pairs of socks went missing between May 6 and 8 from her room. The items were reported missing after she had been moved to a different room.
Two cartons of cigarettes, valued at $67 each, were reported stolen from a store May 20 in the 0-100 block of Grant Square. The suspect swiped a debit card that was declined and then left the store with the cartons.
Someone saw a silver Range Rover back out of a driveway May 20, hit a parked car and fled the area of the 200 block of S Thurlow Street.
Amelia A Season, 64 of the 0-100 block of Oak Brook Club Drive in Oak Brook, was involved in a car crash May 17 at Ogden Avenue and Madison Street. She was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and two open containers of vodka were found in her purse and in the car's center console. Season refused testing to determine BAC, she was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident and illegal transportation alcohol and released to appear in court.
Someone used a victim’s debit card number to purchase $424 worth of gift cards May 12 and withdrew $278.20 from the account at a Target store in Lemont.
Someone stole a package that was delivered May 16 to a home in the 200 block of S. Quincy Street. The package contained a coat and a pair of shoes valued at $170.
Someone used a victim’s information May 21 to file a fraudulent tax return.
Someone reported her car was hit May 20 while it was legally parked in the 600 block of N Lincoln Street.
Someone scratched the front driver’s side door of a car between May 19 and 20 while it was legally parked in a parking lot in the 0-100 block of Spinning Wheel Road.
Felipe D Rodriguez-Bautista, 28 of the 500 block of North Avenue in Aurora, was stopped May 21 for speeding at 47th Street and County Line Road. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, and he submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He also acknowledged he initially gave a false name. He was charged with DUI, speeding, no valid driver's license and obstructing identification, and he was released to appear in court.
Someone scratched the front quarter panel of a car between May 21 and 22 while it was legally parked in a parking lot in the 0-100 block of Spinning Wheel Road.
William E Tellado, 57 of the 4000 block of William Street in Downers Grove, was stopped May 22 for disobeying a traffic control signal and speeding at Ogden Avenue and York Road. He was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and he submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. Tellado was charged with DUI, disobeying a traffic control signal, speeding and driving an uninsured car, and he was released to appear in court.
A store manager in the 0-100 block of S Washington Street reported a pair of sunglasses valued at $350 missing May 22 during an inventory count.
