Hinsdale Police Reports: Underage Drinking, DUI, Fraud
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Dec. 8.

A woman reported she gave $300 on Nov. 8 to someone in the 400 block of E. 7th Street who claimed to be soliciting for charity, according to Hinsdale police. The woman contacted the director of the foundation and learned the donation didn’t make it to the charity.
Francisco Herrera, 46 of the 2300 block of South Ridgeway, Chicago, was arrested Nov. 5 in the 200 block of E. Ogden Avenue and charged with drunken driving, DUI over 0.08 and improper lane use, according to Hinsdale police. He was released to appear in court.

A 16-year-old boy of Hinsdale was charged Dec. 4 with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and resisting/obstructing an officer, according to Hinsdale police. Police found a suspicious car parked with four people in the backseat at Sixth and Thurlow Streets. The boy was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and he ran from police. He was found in the 10 block of N. Washington Street. He was charged and released to a parent.
A family member visiting his father noticed a bump on the side of his head while he was in the care of RML Specialty Hospital, according to Hinsdale police. The incident occurred between Dec. 3 and 4.

Edward View, 65 of the 1400 block of 46th Court in Melrose Park, was seen to be under the influence of alcohol Dec. 6 after police were sent to a property damage-only car crash at 55th Street and Route 83, according to Hinsdale police. View reportedly refused BAC testing, and he was charged with DUI and failure to yield. He was released to appear in court.
Joseph R Russow, 63 of the 4100 block of Park Avenue in Brookfield, was charged Dec. 7 with drunken driving, DUI over 0.08 and improper lane use at Ogden Avenue and I-294, according to Hinsdale police. He was released to appear in court.
