July 4th Celebrations in Burr Ridge
Fireworks tonight and a pancake breakfast tomorrow are planned in Walker Park in Burr Ridge.

The will host its annual fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day in Walker Park tonight. Several thousand people are expected for the event.
Starting at 5 p.m., snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold in the gazebo. Park officials are advising people to get there at dusk. The cost is free, but because the park is in a residential area (located at the intersection of 74th Street and Wolf Road,) parking will be limited.
The is advising people to pay attention to "no parking" signs that are posted in the area.

The Pleasant Dale Park District is selling parking permits for $20 each for its parking lot, and the church across the street from Walker Park also will offer parking for a charge.
Pancake Breakfast Wednesday
Tomorrow, the boy scouts of Troop 69, sponsored by in , will be holding its 13th annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast at Walker Park from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The menu includes pancakes (regular, blueberry and gluten free,) sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, orange juice, Starbucks coffee and other beverages.

Eggs cooked to order and egg strata are available for a small charge. There will be raffles, door prizes and a bake sale. Tickets will be available for $5.00 at the door, and entrance for children under 5 is free.
