King-Bruwaert House welcomes new CEO

Terri Bowen has been named Chief Executive Officer of King-Bruwaert House, a continuing care retirement community in Burr Ridge. Bowen will oversee all healthcare and financial operations and 150 employees aligned to assisted living, memory loss care, skilled nursing and independent living. Her oversight will also include the operations and services relating to 58 on-site independent living cottage homes, The Woods of King-Bruwaert, and 31 rental duplex homes known as Godair Park, located near the main campus. She will also direct staff and functions of more than 15 departments associated with the day-to-day operations of the retirement community.

Bowen most recently served as Administrator of Lexington HealthCare Center in Schaumburg where she had been employed since 2007. During her tenure, she initiated many successful business strategies that resulted in the development of new goals and objectives, increased census, enhanced referral activities and created an ongoing commitment to meeting and exceeding corporate and long-term goals. Within the Lexington community, she was named Administrator of the Year for two of the five years the program was instituted and led an effort that recognized her facility as Building of the Year.

While at HCR Manor Care of Northbrook, she helped to develop a strong internal team that focused on positive patient outcomes, as well as a high satisfaction rating. She also directed a program to help improve community relations and regional hospital relations to increase a referral base.
