Most Expensive Burr Ridge House Ever: Report
The owner is the mother of late rapper Juice Wrld, media outlet says.

BURR RIDGE, IL – A Burr Ridge house sold for $6.9 million in March, the highest sale price in the village's history, a news outlet reported Wednesday.
Crain's Chicago Business identified the new owner as Carmella Wallace, the mother of the late rapper Jarad Anthony Higgins, known as Juice WRLD. He died in 2019.
Crain's reported that Wallace also bought the next-door vacant property for $1.4 million. That brings the total to $8.3 million. The house is on Lee Court.

Built in 2016, the house includes six bedrooms and 6½ bathrooms. It is 17,100 square feet.
The house beat the previous local record of $2.1 million in 2007, according to Crain's.

The property tax bill was $75,000 in 2019, according to the Cook County Treasurer's Office. The house was listed in 2019 for $8.5 million.
A Chicago native, Higgins died in December 2019 after having a seizure. The cause was a drug overdose, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The 21-year-old was known for his 2018 hit, "Lucid Dreams."
