New Montessori School Comes to Burr Ridge

Maple Grove Montessori has opened in . The private school was founded in 1996 for children ages 3 to 6. It aims to focus on a child's intellectual, emotional and social development.

The school recently moved to the first floor of the , near the intersection of Plainfield and County Line Roads.

Alexandra Kessler, Maple Grove's director, has a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University of Chicago. She has 25 years of experience working with children ages 3 to 6 and is certified as a 3-6 directress through the American Montessori Society.

Maple Grove's school year runs from September to May, and the school is now accepting enrollment for its summer camp, which starts its first session on June 18.
