Pleasant Dale Park District Summer Camp Registration Underway

School will be out for summer vacation in just a couple of weeks, and the  is gearing up for a summer of activities, fun, sports, and playing outdoors.

This year’s Adventure Land Day Camp, for ages 5 – 12, will run Monday through Friday, from June 11 through August 10 (except for July 2, 3 and 4,).

Each week, campers’ activities will revolve around themes, including Sand & Surf, Mad Scientist, Animal Planet and A Pirate’s Life for Me.

Campers will take part in activities related to the Theme of the Week and will also go swimming and bowling, as well as participating in outdoor activities and field trips.

Campers also will have plenty of time for sports and supervised free time.

“We want every camper to have a full and fun experience,” said Park District Recreation Supervisor Chris Yesutis-Neberz. “We’re proud to have a 7:1 counselor to child ratio and we plan to keep everyone busy and active while they’re having a great time with old and new friends.”

Pint Size Pioneers, for ages 3 – 5, offers children an introduction to the fun of summer camp by providing morning programming each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The counselor to child ratio for the younger group is 4:1, and staff prides itself in making the experience fun and enriching for everyone while introducing children to large group activities.

In addition to the summer-long day camp experiences, Pleasant Dale offers a number of specialty sports camps. These camps are shorter and include Challenger British Soccer, Skyhawks Golf, T-ball, Basketball and Tennis camps. Also scheduled for summer is a Hoops Elite Basketball Camp with Instructor and UIC basketball legend Kenny Williams.
